Misagh's Story

I am a compassionate psychotherapist dedicated to supporting individuals, families, children, and adolescents through relationship challenges, parenting concerns, trauma, and life transitions. Drawing on both my clinical experience and my own immigration journey, I bring a culturally responsive approach to working with clients from diverse backgrounds. I provide therapy in English and Farsi, creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative space for healing, resilience, and personal growth.

Approach

My therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative, recognizing that each person is unique and may benefit from a combination of evidence-based approaches. During our first session, we take the time to explore your concerns, goals, and personal history in depth. Together, we identify the priorities for therapy and collaboratively develop a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.

How can Misagh help you?
  • Process-Based Therapy (PBT): A personalized, science-informed approach that targets the underlying processes contributing to psychological distress, helping clients build lasting emotional well-being.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Treating anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges using evidence-based strategies.

  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy: Promoting self-regulation, emotional balance, and reducing stress and anxiety.

  • Supportive Psychotherapy: Providing compassionate support to individuals living with chronic or serious medical conditions, helping them cope with emotional, psychological, and life adjustment challenges.

  • DNA-V (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Young People): Supporting children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety, emotional resilience, values-based living, and confident decision-making.

  • Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT): Therapeutic play for children aged 2 to 12 years, helping them express emotions, process difficult experiences, and develop healthy coping skills.

  • Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CCPRT): Strengthening the relationship between caregivers and children by enhancing communication, attachment, and parenting skills.
