Kristina's Story
I believe healing begins in a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. My goal is to create a compassionate, collaborative, and supportive therapeutic relationship where you can safely explore your thoughts, emotions, and life experiences at your own pace. I work with adults navigating addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, emotional regulation, and other mental health concerns. I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals who may be struggling quietly or carrying the weight of shame, stigma, or difficult life experiences. Together, we will work to better understand the patterns that may no longer be serving you, strengthen your resilience, and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life.
Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic approach is integrative and draws from psychodynamic, attachment-based, trauma-informed, parts-oriented, systemic, and client-centred perspectives. I believe that every person's story is unique which is why I tailor therapy to your individual needs, goals, and strengths.
I strive to create a collaborative therapeutic environment that balances emotional exploration with safety, trust, and choice. Traditional talk therapy forms the foundation of my practice, providing a supportive space to better understand your experiences, strengthen self-awareness, and work toward meaningful change. As a Board-Certified Music Therapist, I also have specialized training in creative arts therapy. When appropriate and aligned with your interests and therapeutic goals, I may also incorporate music and creative arts into our sessions. Through music listening, reflection, songwriting, or other forms of creative expression, these approaches can help access emotions and experiences that may be difficult to express through words alone. Clients are also welcome to explore meaningful songs or playlists as a way of deepening emotional understanding and recognizing resilience and growth over time. No musical experience is required, and creative approaches are always optional.
