Alexia's Story

Over the past several years, I have supported individuals, couples, and families navigating relationship challenges, stress, life transitions, and parenting concerns. My experience also includes working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing behavioural therapy and psychoeducational support to children and their families. Drawing on my training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), I collaborated closely with parents to support their child's development and strengthen family functioning.

Through my work, I have developed a particular interest in supporting caregivers, including parents, adult children caring for aging parents, and individuals supporting loved ones with physical or mental health challenges. I understand the unique demands caregiving can place on a person's emotional well-being, relationships, identity, and sense of balance. I strive to create an empathetic and non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to each client's unique goals and circumstances. I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), while integrating elements of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness-based approaches, and person-centred therapy. Together, we will identify your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, sustainable change.

How can Alexia help you?

I work with children (12+),  adolescents, adults, and families experiencing stress, anxiety, burnout, caregiving challenges, life transitions, relationship concerns, and family conflict.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, navigating a difficult transition, or looking to better understand yourself and your relationships, I offer a supportive and collaborative space to help you gain insight, strengthen resilience, and develop practical tools to move forward with greater confidence.
