Summiya's Story

As a counselling psychology student, I strive to create a warm and accepting space where you feel valued and understood. My approach focuses on seeing you as a whole person, recognizing your unique experiences, and working together to explore your strengths, challenges, and aspirations. Our journey will move at a pace that feels right for you, guided by empathy, respect, and genuine care. I have gained valuable experience as a Human Relations Agent at CIUSSS West Central Montreal, where I assessed clients needs, provide one-on-one support, and helped them connect to social services. In addition, I also have experience working with children as an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapist. I worked closely with families and other professionals to create tailored interventions that support the child’s growth and development. I approach my work with empathy, a commitment to lifelong learning, and a holistic perspective, always aiming to empower individuals to overcome challenges and thrive in their personal and academic lives.

How can I help?

My passion lies in supporting individuals through their mental health and behavioral challenges. I use evidence-based techniques such as humanistic therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support each individual’s journey. I provide a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions. I believe in empowering individuals to find their voice and recognize their internal worth through personalized care.
