Katya's Story

I’m a wellness and recovery coach, registered nurse (BScN), and certified yoga instructor with over 20 years of experience. I hold certifications in Ashtanga Yoga (2005), Vinyasa Yoga (2024), as well as in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).With a decade of clinical experience in recovery care, I’ve guided hundreds through trauma healing, nervous system regulation, andemotional resilience work.

 

What is ONA Yoga Method?

ONA Yoga Method is a blend of:
• Classical Yoga – breath-led movement to rebalance body and mind
• Qi Gong – slow, meditative movement from Traditional Chinese Medicine
• DBT Skills – tools for distress tolerance and emotional regulation
• Mindfulness – present-moment awareness without judgment
• Somatic Techniques – including EFT (tapping) and bilateral grounding

This integrative method helps reset your nervous system, process stuck
emotions, and reconnect with your body in a safe, empowering way.

What to Expect

  • 🧘‍♀️ Yoga & Qi Gong Flow – movement that builds interoception and calm
    🧠 DBT-Based Skills – grounding, emotional regulation, and self-soothing
    🌬 Breathwork Techniques, such as:
    • 4-7-8 breathing
    • Box breathing
    • Pursed-lips exhale
    • Classical prāṇāyāma

    Each session combines a rotating mix of:

 

Somatic Practices

• EFT tapping – on acupressure points to ease anxiety
• Butterfly tapping – bilateral, cross-body soothing
