Haisha Maxi, BA
Social Worker, (OTSTCFQ)

Individual, and Family Therapy, Social Work

Haisha's Story

I am a counsellor with a Bachelor of Social Work and I am currently completing a Master’s of Social Work at McGill University. I am a member of the Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec (OTSTCFQ). I approach my work with a calm, gentle, and grounded presence, knowing that people often come to therapy during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. My goal is to offer a space where clients feel supported, respected, and accompanied rather than judged or rushed.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach is client-centered, supportive, and adapted to each person’s needs and pace. I draw from solution-focused, strength-based, humanistic, and systemic perspectives to help clients identify goals, recognize existing strengths, and better understand relational and family dynamics. I aim to walk alongside clients with warmth and clarity, offering gentle guidance and practical support when needed. For clients who wish, faith and spirituality can be respectfully integrated into sessions in a way that aligns with their values and beliefs.

How can Haisha can help you?

  • I work with individuals, teenagers, couples, families, and parents, including parents of neurodivergent children (autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities). I am especially attuned to parents and caregivers who feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or emotionally exhausted and who need a place to speak openly about the realities and challenges they face.

  • I support clients navigating life transitions, parenting stress, relationship difficulties, and concerns related to self-esteem and self-worth. I believe meaningful change does not require fixing who you are, but rather having the right support as you move forward.
